Artist  \ Researcher

Hsin Ting was born in Taipei, Before becoming a full-time artist, I studied and worked in the field of product design. In 2015, received a Master Degree in Innovation Design from The National Taipei University of Technology. Currently living and works in Taipei and New Taipei, engaging in artistic creation, craft research, and art teaching. My works are concerned with the spaces and environments of everyday life, often inspired by nature, rituals and materials, exploring the relationship between space and time, and how they connect to people. The creation uses textiles and natural fibers as the main media, and through contemporary art forms, attempts to explore more diverse possibilities in art and life. Currently, I dedicated to the research of paper mulberry and agricultural waste, which are found everywhere in Taiwan, and conducts artistic creation and craft research through the innovative reuse of materials.

The inspiration for my artistic practice comes from my long-term concern for environmental change and social issues. I reflect on and create through the multiple aspects of life. I am often immersed in my own time or world, focusing on the textures in nature and sorting out my own experiences. Especially after experiencing the COVID-19 pandemic, it has prompted me to re-examine our modern lifestyle.
